So, what’s this all about?
Jimmy Eat World have been my gateway drug to writing and performing since I first started playing music when I was young.
Not 1993 young, but say like, 2000 young

I’m not sure I would have ever bought my first guitar without the Bleed American album and I’m not sure I would have ever sung a single note on a stage without Futures.
This project wouldn’t exist at all without Surviving.
A couple years ago after messing around with a couple covers I realized I was having an impossible time deciding which ones I wanted to cover next so I thought, “why not all of them?”
And so the Jaimee Eat World project was born.
It’s a celebration of what I believe really matters when we write songs and perform them – connecting with someone else, even if they’re 3,533km away in another country.

It’s really a labour of love.
Everything for this project is done by me.
I play all the instruments you hear on the records and mix and master them from my home.
It’s a simple set-up that just about anyone can replicate with any DAW and a couple microphones.
I encourage you to give your own covers a go, it’s a really fun way to connect with your favourite songs in a way that’s all your own and explore different sounds and textures as an artist – sometimes I almost think some of them come out better than the originals! Almost.
